Ray Jordon Wine Dinner

I like to fine dine and quaff whenever the opportunity presents so when I heard about a dinner with The West’s wine expert, Ray Jordan, was too good to pass up! Was out at Indianas in Cottesloe, a beautiful spot and I headed there with the great crew from my workΒ  and together we enjoyed 5 courses with matched wines – so delicious!

Here’s the impressive menu…. so a few nibbles to start – 3 entrees, 1 mains and cheese

The wines were all West Australian, which automatically makes them awesome in my book.. am I biased much?

First course was a little challenging for me as I don’t eat fish but I was pleasantly surprised – I think the grapefruit and fennel salad was a tasty addition

This course was my favourite – the calamari – crispy and full of flavour!

The pesto with roast vegies was amazing! And it was lovely gnocchi – light and well cooked.

Too many close ups and I fogged up my camera πŸ˜‰

Veal cutlet was the mains = a very decent serve and cooked to perfection!

And the cheese was a great finisher – matured and quite bitey.

Definitely one of those food and wine events that you stumble across and are grateful that you did. Brilliant wines, hand picked by an expert and the food was matched perfectly! Completed loved it!
