Every now and then I’m lucky enough to receive an email letting me know about a fab new foodie product that is about to hit the Perth shelves. In this instance it was a product that was going to feature in Perth fridges. Introducing Chobani Yoghurt.

Chobani is pronounced “CHO-BAHN-KNEE,” and is Greek for the word “shepherd” and is symbolic for a gift that comes from the heart.

On receiving the email I replied that I would be sure to keep an eye out for it in stores because GG is a big yoghurt fan. The friendly lady I was dealing with from the marketing team said that she could send me a tub for my fellow to try. What a treat! That would delightful, he’d love it.

Within a week or so the receptionist at work wandered to my desk with a delivery. Wowsers!!!! I had been expecting a little tub to try, this was a whole esky box! I snuck a peek inside and there were several tubs of yoghurt, an oven mit and apron and some icey pole moulds – the Pop Set! I hadn’t used them in years and it reminded me that I did in fact like frozen yoghurt so GG might have to share this stash with me.

I took it home and we had been so spoilt! Just look!

They sent along some reading material which included a run down on the wide range of flavours that Chobani offered.

They also included some very tempting recipes! Especially keen to give the Mushroom Bruschetta a whirl! Oooo and the Thai Red Curry…… and the Chobani Gorgonzola Crostini – they all sounded delish!

I shared the various tubs between GG and my mum and my sister and from all accounts they were creamy and full of fruity flavour. I even sampled the passionfruit flavoured yoghurt and turned it into frozen yoghurt pops! And I don’t know what it is, but in frozen form I am a massive yoghurt fan. I loved how much passionfruity goodness there was in the Chobani tubs. Made for an ideal and cooling summer treat! Go the Fro Cho!

So for yoghurt fans, Chobani could be right up your alley. Chobani is the delicious, authentic strained Greek yogurt that tastes good and is good for you.

And key reasons why Chobani is a healthy yoghurt option……

  • Made with only natural ingredients.
  • Free of preservatives and artificial flavours.
  • 0% and 2% fat.
  • Twice the protein of most regular yogurts.
  • Provides a good source of bone-building calcium.
  • Includes 5 live & active cultures, including 3 probiotics.
  • Gluten free.
  • Safe for those with nut and soy allergies.

A big thank you from GG and I for letting us sample this fab new yoghurt! I may well be a yoghurt convert yet 🙂
