There is something just so Aussie about the fact that we lucky folk can partake in eating our national emblem if the mood so takes – I love a sunburnt country! And as Australia Day is just around the corner Grill’d has come to the party with a new burger available for a limited time and known as the ‘Coat of Arms’ burger, featuring a pattie of both kangaroo and emu!
This unique burger will be available from January 19th to January 31st in selected Grill’d restaurants and in Perth the chosen store is the Shafto Lane store at 401 Murray Street on the corner of Murray Street and Shafto Lane.
So what makes this burger such a unique experience? Has to be the combination of such tasty Australian ingredients – a deliciously lean kangaroo & emu pattie, native thyme mayo, beetroot, quandongs, Meredith Dairy goats cheese, caramelised onion, mesculin, fresh tomato & tasty bush tomato relish.
It is an explosion of flavour! The beautiful creamy goats cheese, the sweetness from the caramelised onion, the fresh crunchy lettuce and tomato, mild spiciness from the bush tomato relish, along with the tasty roo and emu pattie.
But if you want your chance to try this special burger then please note that you can only get this burger at selected stores (so Shafto Lane for WA residents) and they only make 50 of them per restaurant, per day, for special (first in line) burger loving fans.
And they are a perfect match for the rosemary salt chips!
Happy Australia Day 🙂
And a big thank you to Grill’d for giving me the opportunity to sample this delish new burger!
Looks good!! JD
