One of my favourite days of the year is the Sitella Seafood and Shiraz long lunch. A blissful afternoon with my GG in the wintertime sunshine. Last year I pulled up a little dusty after my work’s end of financial year dinner the night before but I was very well behaved this year and felt 110% when I woke up and ready to hit the Valley.
We started the day with a glass of the Sitella sparkling chenin blanc and it really was a brilliant day weather wise – clear blue skies, wonderful! Cheers to that!
We were only a few seats around from where we were sitting last year. Isn’t this just the most amazingly beautiful view ever to be sitting and eating lunch near!
I was even impressed by the butter curls
Trying to get arty with the bubbles
Then it was time for the first course – Crispy aromatic duck croquette, stir fried gai larn, sweet and sour glaze
It was amazingly tasty and their presentation is always so good!
Next up was the Entree – Roasted Asparagus, air dried beef and parmesan ice-cream
I loved it!
Then the cheese course, something different – Whipped Blue cheese, deep fried courgette flowers and honey comb
Can’t fault their flavour combinations!
And the final course, the icing on the cake – Cold Lemon soufflé, strawberries and cream jelly, macadamia and caramel ice cream
