For a debut visit I really enjoyed my foray into yacht club life. Lunch had been tasty and the menu has enough options to keep everyone happy. So for those that live around the area, well worth looking into a membership so you can take full advantage of this great riverside venue.

Dwellingup Pumpkin Festival is a really enjoyable event and the local community is clearly passionate about this annual event they put together. Be assured it is pretty awe inspiring to wander onto a local basketball court and see them covered with gigantic pumpkins.

This visit definitely reminded me that it can be good to colour outside the lines and look to try a few different things and be adventurous with cuisines you don’t normally try. Both GG and I are keen to head back and further expand our Korean food horizons in the future. Thanks for having us Gangam and for the very tasty lunch!

Our Guildford tour had ended and there really is plenty within walking distance of the Stirling Arms to enjoy. A staycation and walking tour, not too far from home, but feeling like a restful world away.

It had been a thoroughly lovely introduction to Fresco Produce and I’m very happy I had the opportunity to try out one of their fruit and veg boxes. I love their focus on working with local farmers and getting their beautiful produce in front of people.

On Sunday, March 11th at Yagan Square was the inaugural Taste of WA event by Buy West Eat Best, featuring delicious produce from the beautiful Peel Region.

Get excited because this year is the 20th anniversary for the Channel Seven Mandurah Crab Fest and it is sure an impressive celebration and it is nearly go time!

I think that was my favourite part really, an outstanding tour guide. It felt more like we were driving around with someone we’d known for years.

So next time you are hungry in the south, whether you’d like something more formal with their indulgent tasting menu or slightly more casual enjoyed from a beanbag on the grass under an umbrella, know that there are plenty of options for everyone on the food front at Xanadu. Plus there are still all their lovely wines to try!
